Help fund our artistic programme
Over the past few years the SLG has been able to develop and thrive thanks to the generous support of a growing number of individuals. Although we are not able to offer much in the way of tangible benefits in return for donations, we can guarantee that your money directly supports our artistic and education programmes, as well as welcoming you to a network of people who really believe in the SLG and its future growth.

Friends
For just £50 (£30 concessions) you can get exclusive insights into the SLG programme and know your money directly supports our artistic programme.

Additional benefits
• Concessionary rate tickets to all paid events. Free entry to all events for students, OAPs and unwaged.
• Invitations to openings and special previews with exhibiting artist(s).
• 10% off purchases in the shop and in our new cafe when it opens.
• Complimentary copies of SLG exhibition brochures.
• Occasional exclusive friends events with guest speakers.
• Accreditation on the SLG website.

Be a Founder Friend
Our first 50 friends will be invited to a special preview of the newly expanded SLG building when it opens in spring 2009.

Rates
We welcome donations of any amount but suggest some minimum contributions below. To reduce administration costs we encourage payment by standing order.

Friend £50 or £40 on standing order: ideal for individuals

Friend (Concession) £30: for students, unwaged, OAPs and under 25's.

Best Friend £100 or £80 on standing order: ideal for individuals who feel able to give more or for businesses and institutions. 

For joint friendships please add £15. 

Patrons

Become an SLG Patron for an annual donation of £600 per year / £500 per year for three years on standing order, and receive:
• All the benefits applicable to SLG Friends
• Opportunities to hear artists, the SLG director and curators give informal tours of exhibitions before private views
• An invitation to at least one post-private view dinner per year
• An invitation to an annual special event for Patrons and Benefactors
• Priority and discounts on the hire of the café, education studio, gardens and other spaces when the newly extended building opens in 2009
• Named acknowledgment in the gallery entrance, in the SLG newspaper and on the SLG website

Programme Benefactors

If you would like to join higher level supporters of the SLG you can become a Founder Benefactor and be part of a new group of indiviuals who make an annual minimum donation of £2,000 and are very much part of the life of the gallery, being invited to all post-private view dinners with artists, as well as receiving all the same benefits as SLG Patrons.

Exhibition Donors

Exhibition Donors choose to support particular exhibitions or projects within our programme with a minimum donation of £5,000, and are credited on all publicity relating to that exhibition or project, as well as receiving all the same benefits as SLG Programme Benefactors.

Corporate Patrons

Make it Happen
Support the SLG's Building Project. The SLG is embarking upon a major expansion programme which will more than double its current floor space. Due for completion by the spring of 2009, our building project embraces the neighbouring terraced house, where there will be new exhibition spaces, an artists' flat for a residency programme, a street level café and a new education studio in a purpose-built extension at the back of the main gallery space.

We need to raise £1.6 million, and we want to involve as many people as possible in this exciting new episode of the SLG's history. Building Project Friends

Every donation makes a difference to us, so please give what you can. All those making donations of £30 or more will be acknowledged as SLG Building Project Friends in a special edition of the SLG newspaper and receive a double invitation to the opening event for the newly developed building

Building Project Patrons

Donate £500 or more and you will be acknowledged in the entrance to the new building for a year, in a special edition of the SLG newspaper and on the SLG website as a Building Project Patron. You will also receive a double invitation to an exclusive preview of the building works and a special opening event for supporters of the building project.

Building Project Benefactors

Building Project Benefactors give £5,000 towards the building project and are acknowledged in the entrance to the gallery for five years, in a special edition of the SLG newspaper, in print relating to the building project and on the SLG website. Building Project Benefactors are also invited to a special opening event for high level supporters of the building project.
