REcreative launches
The South London Gallery, the Hayward Gallery, the Royal Academy of Arts, Tate Britain and the Whitechapel Gallery today launch REcreative, a new website devised by young people to inspire their peers to get involved in contemporary art.
It provides behind-the-scenes access to the contemporary art world through exclusive film content, interviews, opportunities and prizes. Users can create profiles and post their own art work online to share and discuss with other young people. Interviews with art world experts from technicians, conservators and curators, through to artists, designers and critics reveal how they got to where they are today.
Go to www.recreativeuk.com to see an exclusive interview with Tracey Emin, hear Jefferson Hack talk about the very beginnings of Dazed & Confused magazine or register on the site for a chance to win exclusive t-shirts designed by Michael Landy, Bob & Roberta Smith, Michael Craig-Martin and Fiona Banner amongst others.
REcreative is devised by young people as part of the Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project.
