If you are looking for something different to while away the hazy days of Summer why not join in one of the many free events and workshops that make up Summer Daze at the South London Gallery throughout August.

We invite you into a hub of art activity and creativity as each day a different artist takes over the Gallery and garden to lead a diverse range of free workshops for adults, children, young people and families.

The SLG will begin the month as a blank canvas. As the project unfolds evidence from the workshops in computer animation, life-drawing, performance, painting and sculpture will gradually fill the space to create an extraordinary installation.

Each day begins at 1pm with the opportunity to chat with the day’s artist over a packed lunch, followed by an afternoon of making art. These informative, enjoyable and sometimes offbeat introductions to contemporary art will be as varied and exciting as today’s art scene.

During the annual ‘I LOVE PECKHAM’ weekend of 13 and 14 August the day’s events will be extended to include games, refreshments and a festival atmosphere.
