SUN 5, 12, 19, 26 FEB 2017, 2-4PM, CLORE STUDIO, FREE

Overview

Your mate has photoshopped their face so that they've got nine noses... and now they've got a cold! What can you make to help them blow them all?!

The Sunday Spot Action Society (SSAS) is a team of people who come up with ways of taking action by making things.

The team is open to everyone, so come on down and join up. The scenarios that require action have been developed in conversation with children at the Shop of Possibilities (the SLG’s social space for play for local residents in a former retail outlet on the neighbouring Sceaux Gardens housing estate).

All sessions are inclusive, for more information on access to the gallery please read here.

Please note that you don’t have to attend all sessions to take part. The Sunday Spot is an ongoing series of free, drop-in family activities which takes place every Sunday from 2-4pm, suitable for children aged 3-12 years.

Biography
Chloe Cooper uses performative tours, lectures and instructional videos to propose something quite improbable to groups of people to be worked through together. This something quite improbable normally splashes about in the rocky waters of human relationships and acts as a way to rummage around in the processes of getting people on board, wading through scepticism and exploring the ways in which we locate ourselves in opposition to each other.

Chloe has recently exhibited and performed works at Bedfellows: Sex Re-Education, Tate Modern, London (2016), Encounters, Galleri Mejan, Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm (2016), Art From Elsewhere: Walk and Talk, Arnolfini and Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Bristol (2016), Chloe Cooper: Bronzin’ (Totally Bronze), Tate Britain, London (2016), Bedfellows: Artist Talk, Serpentine, London (2016), 21st Century Fox in the Snow, Embassy, Edinburgh (2016) and Secret Reasons, AND Publishing, London (2016).
