FREE ENTRY
Tuesday – Sunday, 11am-6pm
Late opening Wednesdays, 11am-9pm
Last Friday of the month, 11am-9pm

Please note that whilst individual galleries are closed in-between exhibitions the building is open as usual including the bookshop and café where works form the SLG collection are on display.  

Bank Holiday weekends the gallery, Café and bookshop are open as usual. 

The Orozco Garden is open to the public every weekend.

Getting Here

By Overground 

The nearest overground station to the South London Gallery is Peckham Rye (ten minute walk from the gallery)

By Underground

The nearest underground stations are:

  • Oval (Northern Line, approx 1.6 miles) then take bus 36 or 436
  • Vauxhall (Victoria Line, approx 2.6 miles) then take bus 36 or 436 from bus stop C
  • Elephant & Castle (Northern Line, approx 2.2 miles) then bus 12 or 171 from bus stop D or R; or 343 from bus stop G or R

By Bus

The following buses stop at the South London Gallery:
Routes 12, 36, 171, 343, 345 and 436

By Train

The nearest mainline train station to the South London Gallery is Peckham Rye (ten minute walk from the gallery)

By Car

There are no parking facilities at the South London Gallery but there is free parking in the surrounding streets.

Access

The SLG has step-free access throughout its public spaces and accessible toilets. 

There is a parking bay directly in front of the gallery with parking for blue badge holders for up to three hours between 10am and 1pm. Unfortunately this cannot be reserved.

Information about current exhibitions and events are available in large print.
