Primary and secondary school teachers from all subjects are invited to join our twilight workshop led by artist Emma Ogawa Todd.
The evening will feature hands-on activities, an insight into Emma’s practice, and a guided tour of the Yto Barrada exhibition Thrill, Fill and Spill.
Come to engage with the exhibition, connect with fellow educators, and leave with fresh ideas, inspiration, and practical tools for your teaching.

ABOUT EMMA OGAWA TODD
Emma Ogawa Todd explores cultural intersections and indigenous beliefs of Shintoist cosmology. Tracing family histories and archives, she integrates cross-cultural symbolism of her mixed Japanese-English heritage into her work. She uses found and natural materials, influenced by the belief in kami (spirits in all things) to explore ways of coexisting with the environment. These animist principals guide her interest in cyclical relationships with the land, which she channels through processes like foraging, upcycling, natural dyeing, carving, weaving, and stitching.
