We’re delighted to return to Frieze London this month, joining our friends on the Allied Editions booth.
This year, we’re presenting Arches, 2025, by Christina Kimeze, Heart and Hair, 2021, by Katharina Grosse and Albert Goldman’s Martini Pitcher Stirrer, 2014, by Richard Healy. Profits from the sale of editions support our ongoing programme of exhibitions and community projects.

Kimeze’s luminous new limited edition is rendered in the artist’s signature style. Her paintings evoke images in the mind’s eye and the shifting nature of our relationship to our inner lives. Within these ambiguous spaces are female figures based on the artist, her friends and family, but they could also be images of ourselves or others from our dreams.

Katharina Grosse took over Art Basel with a new installation, CHOIR, earlier this year. She is known for spraying explosive colour directly onto architecture, interiors, and landscapes. She embraces the incidents that arise as she works, approaching painting as an experience. For the SLG, Grosse created a limited artist edition textile titled Heart and Hair. This was produced to celebrate SLG’s 130th birthday in 2021.

To coincide with Frieze week, the SLG is hosting a week of expanded programming:
- Special opening hours: On Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 October the gallery will open 12–6pm, giving visitors additional time to experience Yto Barrada’s exhibition and Museo Jumex in Residence (Part 2).
- Ana Segovia in conversation: On Thursday 16 October, artist Ana Segovia will be in conversation at the SLG. Segovia will be exhibiting at Frieze as part of Artist-to-Artist, where established artists select emerging voices for solo presentations.
- Appau Jnr Boakye-Yiadom performance: On Saturday 18 October, join us for a new experimental sound, performance installation by Appau Jnr Boakye-Yiadom, After: Compliments (defrost version 2025). With live music responding to the audience, the work will also build on previous performances. The shape-shifting nature of this work interrogates ideas of power and control, ownership and ephemerality, documentation and visibility.
- Spot Segovia’s work across London: Ana Segovia’s poster project advertises, I’ve Been Meaning to Tell You, an unrealised movie script written by the artist. I’ve Been Meaning to Tell You is the artist’s Queer reinterpretation of 1980s films in which dance is an act of rebellion. The work was designed by Ivan Martinez in a style reminiscent of a traditional newspaper listings page. Segovia’s film is included alongside well-known movies, highlighting the heteronormativity of popular culture of the time. Keep your eyes peeled and spot the work on poster sites in south London.
We look forward to seeing you at Frieze and at the SLG throughout the week.
