A flyer for the launch of Common Prayers by Camille Ralphs.

Join us for the launch of Common Prayers, a collaborative publication. The pamphlet includes poems by Camille Ralphs and illustrations by Lulu Bennett. It has been printed by Shoshana Kessler.

To celebrate the launch, at the SLG there will be readings by Lu Rose Cunningham, Dominic Leonard, and Camille Ralphs.

Common Prayers is limited to 75 copies, hand-bound, numbered, with letterpress-printed covers.

There will be complimentary drinks and copies of the publication available to purchase.

About Lu Rose Cunningham

Lu Rose Cunningham (b.1997) loves winged creatures and red knitwear. Cunningham has written for and exhibited performances at Leeds Art Gallery, South London Gallery, Wysing Arts Centre, and HuMBase, Stuttgart. She is the author of poetry pamphlets ‘For Mary; Marie, Maria’ and ‘Interval: House, Lover, Slippages’, both published by Broken Sleep Books, the latter featured in PN Review 2023. Cunningham has also written for Glasgow-based presses Pala Press, SPAM and MAP Magazine, and more recently for arts journal L’Essenziale Studio, Milan. 

About Dominic Leonard

Dominic Leonard is a poet from West Yorkshire. His writing can be found in The Poetry Review, PN Review, Poetry London, the TLS and elsewhere. He won an Eric Gregory Award in 2019, the Oxford Poetry Prize in 2022, and the London Magazine Prize in 2024. 

About Camille Ralphs

Camille Ralphs is a poet and critic, and an editor at the Times Literary Supplement. Her poems and essays have appeared in numerous magazines, including the New York Review of Books, Poetry Review and the Los Angeles Review of Books.  

About Lulu Bennett

Lulu Bennett is a Northern, London-based painter. She studied painting at Glasgow School of Art and Slade School of Art, and has exhibited across the UK and internationally. Last year, was shortlisted for the John Moores painting prize.  

About Shoshana Kessler

Shoshana Kessler is based in London and Oxford. She previously ran Hurst Street Press, an independent printing press and publishing house.
