Enjoy the best of classic Pakistani cooking and celebrate Eid with us on 10th April.
Let us paint you a picture – The year is 1992. Pakistan’s Cricket team, led by Imran Khan, just won the World Cup. Nawaz Sharif was Prime Minister. And Chef Numra’s dad decided to pack up their lives in London and move to Pakistan. Things weren’t as simple as that – flooding in the Northern regions and record high violence in Karachi are just some of the many turbulences of the year. But all Numra remembers was arriving in a country that JUST won the Cricket World Cup! Life was good. There was an excitement in the air that rang of hope for the future. Anything was possible when they could win cricket. Dil Dil Pakistan.
The Empress Market Eid 1992 Supperclub at South London Louie is about celebrating the best of 90’s Pakistani hospitality. The menu is a combination of classic Pakistani cooking and nostalgia bakery treats every desi mum liked to serve on special occasions.
You are invited to wear your best Eid outfits, the more sparkles, the better. There will also be a mehndi artist decorating your hands with henna!
