Join us for a discussion exploring how artists are responding to the climate emergency through their work.
Artists Severina Dico-Young, Araceli Gomez-Castro and Emma Ogawa Todd will share a series of presentations around environmentally responsible artistic practice.
Followed by a conversation moderated by Louisa Buck, Contemporary Art Correspondent for The Art Newspaper and author of the monthly column Green is the New Black looking at how the art world is responding to the environmental and climate crisis.
Attendees will also get a chance to visit Yto Barrada’s exhibition Thrill, Fill and Spill with an introduction from South London Gallery Head of Programme, Sarah Allen. The exhibition features a number of new textile pieces which were dyed with plants Barrada grows herself at The Mothership, her artist-led eco-campus and dye garden in Tangier.
