Join us for a lively debate with artist Fran Cottell and art critic Katy Deepwell.  They will discuss the why and when of feminist art publishing and what a re-examination of the past can give to the present.

KT press is delighted to celebrate the launch two new books at this event; Fran Cottell and Marian Schoettle’s Conceptual Clothing Revisited (2025) and Katy Deepwell’s Conversations on Art, Artworks and Feminism (2025). Both books are centred on interviews with artists and curators and, at the same time, offer reprints of articles from earlier publications to create new contexts for feminist debates in contemporary art today.

Conceptual Clothing was an Ikon Gallery touring exhibition, 1986-1988, with 23 artists, curated by Fran Cottell and Marian Schoettle. Conversations on Art, Artworks and Feminism is a collection of Katy Deepwell’s interviews with over thirty women artists, curators and founders of feminist art organisations from n.paradoxa: international feminist art journal, 1996-2017.
