In celebration of International Women’s Day, this free lecture taking place at the V&A will introduce the key themes and participating international artists from the exhibition Acts of Resistance: Photography, Feminisms and the Art of Protest.

Join Sarah Allen, Head of Programme South London Gallery and Fiona Rogers, the V&A’s Parasol Foundation Curator of Women in Photography and co-curators of the exhibition on display at the SLG, who will speak alongside artists featured in the exhibition. The talk will explore this show which brings together works by over 16 international artists and collectives who are using the camera to challenge and move beyond traditional modes of protest photography.

The exhibition runs at South London Gallery from 8 March 2024.

This talk is part of the V&A Academy Lunchtime Lecture Series, and will take place at the V&A South Kensington. The talk is free and no booking is required.
