Imori is a creative culinary studio and the collaborative identity of Nigerian artists, Femilola O’Brien-Dele and Oreoluwa Ahmeed.
Named for the Yoruba ‘knowing-the-head’ ceremony, the first rite that is performed after a child is born, Imori positions mealtimes as a ritual; food as a vehicle for preserving cultural memory and intangible heritage; and dining as an art.
The Imori Supper Club at South London Louie is a 5 course seasonal tasting menu, marrying Nigerian flavours with modern European influences.
A narrative element in the tradition of the oral storytelling & griotism of West Africa weaves together each course of this inaugural dinner.
