The SLG offers a range of distinctive spaces for filming and photo-shoots.

Commercial use

The Clore Studio is a contemporary white space with a polished concrete floor. It overlooks the stunning Gabriel Orozco garden designed by the artist in collaboration with 6a architects and botanists from Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. We also have a smaller room, the Fox Reception, which also overlooks the garden.

The Clore Studio, Fox Reception, the Fire Station Kitchen and the Trusthouse Gallery are available between 10am–6pm, Monday–Friday

A fee will apply, rates for long filming periods are negotiable. As a registered charity, all income generated from venue hire directly supports our education and artistic programmes.

As a working arts institution we cannot always accommodate every request for filming and photography.

Commercial filming and photography requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the proposed date, where possible.

Press filming and photography

We allow filming and photography for press coverage of the gallery and temporary exhibitions. Please make sure that all filming and photography is pre-arranged with the communications team in advance.

Please note the gallery is open to the public from 11am–6pm, Tuesday-Sunday and therefore generally we cannot arrange filming during this time, though we may be able to provide access if filming causes minimal disruption.

The gallery is closed to the public on Mondays and therefore we are able to accommodate film crews for a longer period of time.

There may be a fee if you would like to film before 9am or after 6pm to cover administrative costs.

Please contact Anna Jones for more info: press@southlondongallery.org

Educational Use

The SLG team will try to accommodate filming and photography requests for educational use, although as a working arts institution we cannot always do so. Filming on hand-held cameras with small crews may be possible during working hours (10am-6pm, Monday-Friday), however this will depend on the purpose of the film, the availability of spaces and the current exhibitions.

If you are a student and would like to organise filming at the SLG, please get in touch at least two weeks in advance of the proposed date, stating what equipment will be used, crew size, estimated time for shooting and the purpose of the film.
