Art Assassins outside the Pioneer Centre with artist Eleanor Wright

Poet James Wilkes and the Art Assassins lead a walk to the Pioneer Health Centre where the Peckham Experiment ran from 1935 – 1950. Taking photos and telling stories along the way.

James Wilkes writes poetry and short fiction and makes work for installation and performance; he is currently working on a collection of short, weird stories and fragments that respond to the archives of the Peckham Experiment. His work has previously appeared in Datableed, The Wire, gorse, The White Review, Litmus Magazine, Minor Literature[s] and Poetry Wales.

Art Assassins are group of young beings who have met weekly since 2009. Through their collaborative projects they have defined a unique peer-led approach to create platforms which represent themselves and their ideas.
