Artist-led Workshops

A young child sits on a bright blue mat on the floor looks at the camera. He is in a school uniform and is sitting beside other school children. The children hold paintbrushes and are all painting in bright colours onto a white canvas laid on the floor.

The South London Gallery offers free artist-led workshops for state-maintained primary schools, secondary schools and colleges.

Workshops will include a visit to one of our latest exhibitions and a hands-on creative activity in the Clore Studio.

Sessions run Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 – 11:45am. Please note that we require at least 4 weeks notice before a workshop, and are subject to availability.

Opening this Spring, Acts of Resistance, a group exhibition at the SLG, organised in collaboration with the V&A, brings together works by international artists and collectives who are using the camera to challenge and move beyond traditional protest photography.  Starting in April, workshops will be led by artist Charli Payne

Content guidance: Art work in this exhibition includes strong language, nudity and sexual images, references to drug use, sexual violence, femicide, female genital mutilation, gender and sexuality-based discrimination, genocide and racism
